The focus of bringing in theatre amongst our youngest learners is to develop self-awareness, coordination, social and emotional learning, and language skills. The theatre program is tailor made to suit our learner attributes where they become SMART (Skilful, Mindful, Artistic, Responsible Thinkers). They are taught body language, emotions and movement that helps them express themselves. The learning became visible when our youngest learners performed a mime during our Annual day based on the theme ‘Staying Alive – thriving body mind and soul’. The act demanded team-work and timely coordination which they seamlessly executed with ease. The drama program continues to introduce them to various social emotional themes like sculpting emotions, good touch and bad touch, coexistence and sharing.
