“Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” – Henry Ford.
This is our mantra for our collaboration with Cambridge International. Their Learner-driven curriculum has supported our vision towards our learners and continues to do so for their overall skill development. Our association with Cambridge expands beyond the curriculum as most of our Teachers are Cambridge-Learners themselves. They’ve gained their Teaching diplomas from Cambridge and bring their expertise to the table.
Our Vision to be a Thinking School resonates well with the Cambridge Program. SSFI’s collaboration with Cambridge Assessment for International Examination began at 2015. We offer Cambridge Primary Programme for our learners aged 5.5 to 11 years. We work towards making our learners achieve the Cambridge Learner Attributes, in addition to our SMART. Our learners at Stage 6 also appear for Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Exams.
We aim at extending the Primary Curriculum into
Cambridge offers Progression tests from Stage 3 and it has benefited our learners in assessing their grade-level expectations.
The subject areas of Cambridge Primary are: English, English as Second Language, Mathematics, Science, Cambridge Global Perspectives, Art and Design, Physical Education, Cambridge ICT Starters, and Music.
As well as developing learners’ knowledge and understanding of different subjects, Cambridge International encourages the development of key learner attributes. These Cambridge learner attributes underpin the Cambridge approach and apply to teachers too. These are:
Reflective as learners, developing their ability to learn.
Innovative and equipped for new and future challenges.
Confident in working with information and ideas – their own and those of others.
Engaged intellectually and socially, ready to make a difference.
Responsible for themselves, responsive to and respectful of others.
